Swansea media blog boost for city centre

More than 500 members of a key Swansea organisation can now enjoy Media Master's groundbreaking online service which points them towards important local media content.
The Swansea BID Media Master was launched last week and is thought to be the first such service in the UK.
The early morning blog - http://www.bidmediamaster.blogspot.com/ - quickly alerts business bosses and other BID members to the most talked-about content in vibrant titles such as the South Wales Evening Post, Swansea Sound, Bay Radio, Western Mail, BBC Cymru Wales, community platforms and local glossies.
BID manager Russell Greenslade said: “The Swansea BID Media Master keeps city centre enterprises in the loop on editorial and commercial activity in the Swansea Bay media.
“It’s great that Swansea has its own thriving print, broadcast and online sector – and it’s great that we can strengthen the link between the media and business in this way.
“Knowledge is crucial to business and the Media Master is a fabulous way of pointing our members to the content useful to them.”
Swansea Business Improvement District or BID, is a co-operative of businesses that together fund improvements to the city centre. Swansea's BID started in 2006. It allows 730 businesses in the city centre to identify key issues that impact on their trading and start projects to tackle them.
The Swansea BID Media Master is being supplied by me trading as Andy Pearson Publicity. A former Evening Post features editor and Llanelli Star editor, I see the news agenda evolving more quickly than ever these days – this blog will help time-pressed enterprises keep up with the local media’s expert journalism, advertising and promotional activity.
BID is a wonderful concept and will continue to make a huge difference to our city centre. The Media Master will give BID members important knowledge of current affairs and of commercial opportunities. I’m very happy that my experience of 25 years working in and with the regional media will help them.
